DFPS has implemented a program that will allow qualified youth who have aged out of DFPS conservatorship to Return To Care in order to continue their education. As you can imagine there are some very specific prerequisites as well as strict guidelines for maintaining placement eligibility. Fundamentally, there must be a home for them to return to. Please do your research and if you are interested in providing care to a deserving youth who is returning to care in order to advance, contact your regional placement workers and let them know about your willingness to be involved.
