Adoption: What to Expect

This is a reoccurring 1-hour training offered monthly that will provide knowledge, support, and guidance to caregivers to help them explore who they are as a caregiver, and provide them with strategies to care for the children in their home.

This training is open to all caregivers, including foster parents, adoptive parents, and kinship caregivers.

Objectives:

  • Develop an understanding of the adoption process;
  • Explore experiences that may come along with adopting through the child welfare system;
  • Explore what adoption means for you as a caregiver and for your family
