This week will be a discussion of the importance of a will, what happens if you do not have a will, how do wills and trusts differ, and the major indicators that a person might consider a trust over a will in Texas.

Mr. Milam is the founder and managing partner of Milam Law Firm, PLLC. Milam Law Firm's primary focus is Tax Law and Estate Planning. They assist individuals in their tax planning and preparation throughout the year. They also leverage their tax expertise in the area of Estate Planning Law. They handle preparation and advising related to Wills, Trusts, and other Estate Planning needs of thier clients. In addition, they are equipped to assist in the Litigation side of Estate Planning, more commonly known as Probate. They have found that there is no better way to know how to advise clients on the planning side than to represent clients in the courtroom where the true outcome of planning (either good or bad) becomes apparent.

Milam earned his Juris Doctor degree and a Master of Laws in Taxation from Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law, where he graduated with honors. He is licensed with the Texas State Bar and admitted to practice in the Federal Courts of the Northern District of Texas.
