DFPS Council Meeting

When: 3/8/2024 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services Council was created during the 85^th Texas Legislative Session in 2017 as part of House Bill 5, the legislation that established the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) as an agency separate from the Health and Human Services Commission. The DFPS Council is a governor appointed advisory council to DFPS and the purpose is to study and make recommendations to the DFPS Commissioner regarding the management and operation of the department. The next scheduled DFPS Council meeting is Friday, March 8 at the Brown Heatly Building in Austin. In person public testimony will be permitted during the DFPS Council Meeting. If you would like to give public testimony at the council meeting in person, please complete the comment card. Public testimony is limited to three minutes per person. If you would like to submit written comments, email them to the DFPS Council mailbox.
