Training Follow Up: Connecting the Dots

This 2-part training series will provide knowledge, support, and guidance to caregivers to help them explore who they are as a caregiver and provide them with strategies to care for the children in their home.
This training is open to all caregivers, including foster parents, adoptive parents, and kinship caregivers.
We encourage everyone to register for each training date, as they will be covering different topics and objectives listed below.
Trainings: You can attend 1 or all. This is the final session of 3 in a series.
- Bringing Our Full Selves to the Table: Exploring the Caregiver Role - April 10th from 5:30 to 7:30pm
- Training Follow Up: Connecting the Dots - April 24th from 5:30 to 6:30pm
Objectives:
- Learn about the common challenges caregivers experience
- Explore what has been difficult for you as a caregiver
- Use knowledge of trauma informed parenting to shape your caregiving responses
- Think about how you view your role as a caregiver
- Explore how your parenting behaviors and values impact your child(ren)
- Consider who you would like to be as a caregiver
- Provide an opportunity for caregivers to share experiences, ask questions, and reflect on training material.
