Join us to learn how small actions can make a big difference in saving lives!\n\nSpeaker:\n\nBarbara Cosart, MLIS, MPH, CHES, CPST\n\nInjury Prevention Coordinator (Water Safety)\n\nDell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas\n\nBarbara Cosart is the Injury Prevention Coordinator for the Dell Children's Drowning Prevention and Water Safety Program (DPWSP) in Austin, Texas. The DPWSP aims to plan, implement, and evaluate drowning prevention projects and interventions, as well as conduct research to inform drowning prevention initiatives. She helped form and co-leads the Texas Water Safety Coalition, which facilitates collaboration and networking among water safety stakeholders in Texas and will produce the first Texas Water Safety Strategy. A former medical librarian, Ms. Cosart has been involved in injury and violence prevention for many years through paid and volunteer work. Ms. Cosart holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Library and Information Science from UT Austin, as well as a Master of Public Health in Health Promotion and Health Behavior from the UTHealth School of Public Health.\n\nRegister Here
