At ASC we want our campers to grow. We want them to become more independent and more confident in their own skills. We want them to try something new, and we want campers to feel safe being and becoming their authentic selves.
We understand and value the importance of connection with others. We want our campers to be better friends, work well with others, and work to resolve conflict peacefully.
We want our campers to love to explore. It's a beautiful world, and we want our campers to care for the environment and its creatures, and we want our campers to love Austin Sunshine Camps as much as we love them.
What We Offer
Austin Sunshine Camps has provided free fun-filled overnight summer camp programs for the children of the greater Austin area since 1928. All summer camp programs are provided free of charge for families with kids who either meet the free or reduced school meals income eligibility guidelines or are in foster care.
About Zilker Park Camp
Our Zilker Park camp is located inside Zilker Park near Barton Springs Pool; it serves campers ages 8 11. Campers 10-11 years old attend for ten days and nine nights. Campers who are 8 years old attend sessions that are seven days and six nights. Campers who are 9 years old can choose either the ten-day or seven-day option. The camp program offers activities such as swimming in Barton Springs, canoeing to Lady Bird Lake, arts and crafts, Carnival Night, nature study, hikes, games, and a challenge course with a variety of low ropes elements.

ASC does not provide transportation to or from our Lake Travis location.
